Stop blindly walking into creating more content for big social media platforms without thinking

So many problems with this

They want to you create as much content as possible as it means they can use whatever is best to keep customers engaged and show them more ads

With this model every time you create content they are the ones that always win – sure sometimes you’ll hit a home run

Also if a new social network launches and you rush into creating content for them because you have to be everywhere you are forgetting the important steps of your marketing strategy 

These are Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning; which show us who, where and what you should show to prospective customers 

By all means use a social network to try and engage customers (ads are probably more worth your time than organic posting) but don’t do it without thinking about if it fits your overall marketing strategy
